Brothers Clayton and Geoff Gwynne spent childhood summers burning their feet on the sand and riding waves in Waipu Cove. This slice of delicious Pacific paradise was home-away-from-home when they were wee ones, so when it came time to kick corporate life to the kerb, they knew where to go.

Waipu’s Pizza Barn was already a ‘thing’ when they bought it in 2003, but they quickly put their fingerprint on it (i.e. draped in more tartan than a McLeod within earshot of Dunvegan). They then hired half the village and worked right alongside them in the kitchen and at the bar - and still do! They even created a menu they loved, and while the menu can never accused of being ‘high-end,’ that’s precisely the point. Here at McLeod’s Pizza Barn, we keep it as local as possible and always good.

Think of it as ‘slow’ fast food. From hand-rolled pizza bases, made fresh daily, to ribs, burgers, fish and chips and our crisp, fresh salads - we want our food to make you feel right at home.
